Gettin’ my nerd on.

I love Tetris.

I miss the good old days when a thrill was as simple as a pixelated rocket taking off.

Although, the introduction of Tetris Battle on Facebook managed to combine Tetris with a competitive thrill that has made it pretty unbeatable.

Sometimes I dream about Tetris.

Sometimes my obsession goes further than that.

I also still really love Age of Empires, but I’ve yet to translate this to my daily life. That’s probably a good thing.

  1. I smiled. Thank you!

One day I hope you will explain (if you haven’t already) how you came to be a stuffed olive.

    • Yay! I like making people smile!

My stuffed olive persona is a pop culture reference… I’d be more specific, but I like the sense of mystique.

  2. Love your work, as always. I know what you mean about dreaming about Tetris – it’s a bit scary, isn’t it?! Now I am playing one of those Scramble word games and seeing that when I sleep – probably a sign that it’s time to go cold turkey, I guess! Such a funny post, thank you!

    • Thank you!

It’s terrible when games get into your dreams, but there’s no need to go cold turkey. That’s just crazy!

  3. Tetris is a super handy skill to have in life. From packing your socks/undies into your drawers to squishing your enviro bags full of groceries into your car boot. You should add it to your CV.
I went through a year of being obsessed World of Warcraft years ago. There’s no transferable skills in that game. Unless you count turning into a cat and scratching people to death as a skill!

    • Whenever I think of World of Warcraft, I immediately think of LARP-ing, and then I think of the documentary Monster Camp. It is the best thing in the entire world. I have watched it SO many times. Funniest/most awesome doco eva.

      Here’s the trailer…
      … Oh dear I just watched it again… it doesn’t get old. <3 <3 <3

    • Thanks, Kara. I don’t think these one’s are especially grand, but they are getting done faster, which is definitely a good thing.

      • I love the one in the car and think the detail in the daydream is great – but I also think that your olive in computure has really advanced since some of the early posts – Impressed by your improvement, and still shocked you can draw, how did I not know that?
