Todd the Tortoise

Today is my sister’s birthday, so I made her this tortoise:

Todd the tortoise

His name is Todd.

Due to the pervasiveness of certain misconceptions, he has long suffered under the delusion that he is a turtle. After a little experimentation at the beach, however, Todd has since discovered that he doesn’t particularly like water, mostly because it is wet.

His identity now in tact, Todd has returned home just in time to join Hannah for some birthday celebrations.

I shall join them both shortly and will cook a delicious feast. This time I shall refrain from setting Hannah’s kitchen on fire… which reminds me: Apologies again for the events of my last visit, Hannah. I hope the smell of smoke has dissipated.

Oh, and, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Note: Turtles are the ones that live in water, tortoises live on land… mostly, or something… Hannah is quite firm about the specific differences between these two reptiles, but I always get it wrong.

My awesomeness intimidates some people, others just point and laugh.

  3. Have a very happy birthday Stuffed Olive’s sister. Could you secretly tell us stuff about your big sister that she would be horrified at us knowing??? Apart from setting your house on fire?

  4. I hope you had an excellent birthday, Stuffed Olive’s Sister!

I have had the good fortune to meet a turtle (yes, a turtle, not a tortoise!) called Todd. He was quite the adventurer.

  5. Happy Birthday, Hannah! May your kitchen be smokeless and your happiness boundless. And your turtles and tortoises decidedly separate. Like laundry. Yay!
